Can my 16 y/o daughter schedule an appointment?
No, you must be at least 18 years of age to schedule an appointment.
Do you accept my health insurance?
Effective 7/15/2021 Kentucky Online Adult Psychiatry will NO LONGER be accepting any private health insurance. This also includes Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. This decision has come as a result of my desire to put your care ahead of insurance paperwork and contractual requirements. This fee is due and will be charged at the time of your appointment.
Is this process online legal?
Yes, your health information is federally protected. We are HIPPA compliant, and your information is confidential with encrypted email.
When do I need to pay for my telehealth and/or video appointment?
Payments will be charged to your debit/credit card on file at the time of your appointment.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, a secure credit card process is in place. If you choose, your credit card information can be kept on file for future appointments.
How long should I set aside for each appointment?
New client evaluations can take up to 30 minutes and follow up appointments are usually around 15 minutes.
What if I forget about my appointment and/or want to cancel?
Appointments must be cancelled and/or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to appointment time. If appointment is not canceled, you will be charged a fee of $45.
What if I need an appointment out of the normal business hours?
I understand that there may be situational crisis and/or you may have an urgent need outside of business hours. I will do my best to accommodate you and provide services to meet your needs when possible.
What should I do if I need to talk with you ASAP and it is not life-threatening?
Please complete the special appointment request and you will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule appointment ASAP.
How will I receive my prescriptions?
Prescriptions will be electronically sent to the pharmacy of your choice. Medication refills may be requested through your pharmacy.
What if I need paperwork for my employer?
There is a $25 fee for all paperwork to be completed (FMLA, special letter requests, etc.).
